U.S. – Faroe Islands Partnership Dialogue

The United States and the Faroe Islands held the annual U.S.-Faroe Islands Partnership Dialogue in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, on May 15.  U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Douglas Jones and Faroe Islands Director General of the Foreign Service Gunnar Holm-Jacobsen led the discussions on a broad range of areas of cooperation, including bilateral trade, and increased engagement on shared priorities, among other topics. The United States and the Faroe Islands welcomed expanding cooperation since the Dialogue last convened in Washington, DC on February 15, 2023, in particular the establishment of a Faroese Representation Office in Washington.
