nScrypt Used to 3D Manufacture Space Force Cubesats
ORLANDO, Fla. - December 13, 2022 - (Newswire.com)
nScrypt's sister engineering company, Sciperio, is using the nScrypt Factory in a Tool (FiT) to 3D manufacture small satellites for the U.S. Space Force. The project is under an SBIR Phase II for the advanced manufacture and assembly of 6U Cubesats. CubeSats are a class of research spacecraft called nanosatellites built to standard dimensions (Units or "U") of 10 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm.
nScrypt's strategy is to achieve short design-to-deployment time by building each launch-capable cubesat on one of its Factory in a Tool 3D manufacturing platforms. nScrypt's FiT improves satellite functionality by embedding electrical, thermal, and other functionality into the structure. 3D manufacturing the cubesat also reduces cost because each satellite is fully manufactured on a single nScrypt system from a digital file with minimal human involvement.
The FiT builds multilayer electronics through multi-material deposition and integrated milling, drilling, and pick and place. For example, after one layer of the cubesat's structure is extruded, the system mills that layer to accept an electronic trace and pick-and-placed electronic components that cannot be printed. The extruder then deposits another layer of structure to embed those electronics. That process is repeated until the cubesat is completed, with all of the electronics and other functionality (such as detumbling coils, solar panels, solar sensors, strain gauges, magnetometers, accelerometers, and temperature sensors) embedded into the walls or the surface of the structure itself. Connections to the functionality embedded in the cubesat will happen in the satellite base. The FiT will build the power distribution module as a multiplayer printed electronic structure.

Instead, the functionality is embedded into the structure of the cubesat as it is being digitally manufactured by our system. The design is modular so that functionalities can be interchangeable. Innovation Refunds’ CEO Howard Makler Discusses How Businesses Can Protect Themselves From Bad Players in the Employee Retention Credit Industry
While Innovation Refunds and other turnkey tax solution providers have been helping thousands of businesses secure life-changing ERCs (Employee Retention Credits) over the past two years, other players within the space have emerged with less than honorable intentions. According to Innovation Refunds CEO Howard Makler, several ERC mills have been taking advantage of small, vulnerable companies by charging exorbitant fees for ERC verifications and by taking huge percentages of the credit funding upon its approval and issuing.
Congress launched the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) program under the CARES Act in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States. The program encourages businesses to keep employees on their payroll by providing refundable tax credits that cover 50% of wages paid by an eligible employer, up to $10,000. Certain companies have qualified for payroll tax refunds of up to $26,000 per employee, even if they have received Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) funds.
The rules and regulations tied to ERC tax credits have been revised multiple times under the CARES Act. This has led to constant confusion among business owners regarding the program's eligibility requirements. As a result, a litany of ERC companies have surfaced to meet the demand for specialized assistance with the verification and application processes. Often, these firms only manage ERC tax refunds and are always up to date with the latest regulations.
However, per Makler, there are a few key indicators that business owners can use to differentiate real ERC companies from the bad players. By arming themselves with this knowledge, business owners and executives can avoid engaging with corrupt organizations altogether.
Makler noted how the first red flag small businesses should be wary of is any mention of an ERC verification or qualification fee. The verification process itself should have no associated costs whatsoever.

An innovative and award-winning crime prevention program is keeping construction sites safe from thieves in one of the fastest-growing areas of the country.
The Collier County Sheriff's Office Construction Site Watch Program recently was named the Outstanding Crime Prevention Program of the Year by the Florida Crime Prevention Association. Sheriff Kevin Rambosk created the program in November 2021 to allow deputies to work closely with contractors to monitor and protect at-risk equipment and materials.

Through the Construction Site Watch Program deputies are preventing crimes with a combination of community engagement, data analysis and sophisticated tracking and monitoring technology.
Located in Southwest Florida, Collier County is seeing a surge in construction because of a high demand for housing, which also leads to more commercial building. Construction sites often are targeted by criminals because they're in remote locations, lack security and lighting, and usually have thousands of dollars of materials and equipment on hand.
The cost of materials has gone up, and supply-chain issues have created a higher demand, making construction sites even more attractive to thieves.
With the Construction Site Watch Program, the Sheriff's Office partners with contractors to protect equipment. The program is simple and effective.
Contractors alert the Sheriff's Office when they have materials being delivered, or when they are leaving equipment on-site. They can send pictures and serial numbers of specific items they would like monitored.
CCSO's Real-Time Operations Center (ROC) compiles a watchlist of vulnerable locations. That list is then sent to deputies, who closely monitor these sites by visiting the locations daily. The ROC uses geo-fencing capabilities to accurately track site checks.
If deputies discover that something is missing, they have the contact information for the supervisor at each location and can contact them immediately.
CCSO Crime Prevention deputies have been proactive about bringing awareness to this program and ensuring that construction companies take advantage of the resource. Deputies visit with contractors at offices, industry meetings and forums, and even on sites to distribute literature with program information. CCSO also educates the companies about trends and thefts in the construction industry.
Through this program, the Sheriff's Office has developed an effective, long-lasting and significant strategy to reduce construction site thefts.
